Today’s postcard comes from Porquerolles, the largest and most visited of the Îles d’Hyères – a dreamy archipelago off the southern coast of France, nestled between Toulon and Saint-Tropez. We anchored off Plage d’Argent, where aquamarine waters sparkled under warm skies, and paddleboards became our taxis to shore. The anchorage was blissfully calm, shared with a few well-spaced neighbors.

Dinner was a fresh and colorful quinoa salad with chicken, made from the sun-ripened veggies we picked up at the Sanary-sur-Mer market the day before.

Later, we tendered into the main port – a charming, bike-friendly village with streets lined by trees and bursts of blooms, locals playing pétanque (similar to bocce or boules), and a sleepy magic that whispered: stay longer, write a book here someday.

As the sky shifted through various shades of sunset behind Kora, it felt like time itself was on pause. The end to another perfect day on the water!
