Arrived in Fréjus, a lively harbor town where seaside restaurants buzz with energy and the scent of fresh seafood floats on the breeze. Marina Fréjus is a tight and bustling harbor, and Doug handled it like a pro, cooly maneuvering Kora into our fairway (twice!) while letting other boats shuffle in and out. As we drew closer to our berth, Buzz and I stood at the stern, ready with lines – until we spotted a problem. There were no cleats or bollards! Just metal rings bolted to the vertical dock wall. A bit of scrambling, some creative and somewhat acrobatic rope work, and a few muttered words later, and we had her secure. Let’s just say we still have a few things to learn!

slime lines were placed

Post-mooring debriefs gave way to a delicious seafood dinner, gelato, and what the French might call an early night – lights out by 10:30 pm.

The next morning kicked off with a run along the beach, a quick trip to the grocery store where an interesting laundry kiosk was discovered, and a shiny new fishing pole for Buzz.

grocery shopping!
