Our last post (Aug 21, 2024) marked the end of Kora’s incredible maiden voyage: a dream-filled journey from La Rochelle to Marseille, France, hugging the coastlines of Spain and Portugal, with a magical detour to the Balearic Islands.
And now… we’re back! Thrilled to share the perfect gift from our sailing friends, the Gammarinos – custom shirts commemorating Kora’s first adventure. What an awesome and most thoughtful surprise!
On the eve of Voyage #2, bags are packed (much lighter this time!), and our excitement is sky-high. We launch from Marseille with Buzz and Kate, the perfect crew to help us find our sea legs again. From there, we sail east along the French and Italian Rivieras, meet my brother Steve and family Catherine, Oscar & Chelsea, near Rome and sail down the Almalfi coast, take a short side trip by land to cheer on Emily and Team Australia at the World University Games in Berlin 🇦🇺, then back to the boat to continue down and around the boot of Italy to Croatia – where we will meet up with cousin Khali & Cam, and Karen’s folks, Geraldine and Ray. Expecting that we might even see Kaitlyn along the way! Also hoping to cross wakes with our friend Rebin, who we met last year on another FP40 Isla, maybe in Vis, Croatia!
An epic summer awaits!!! Fair winds and following seas – Kora’s next chapter begins now!
