Hosting our first dinner party on the catamaran was an exciting adventure. The galley, cozy and compact, really only accommodates one chef, so Doug and I danced around each other as we prepped food. Cooking in batches with the microwave/convection oven was also a bit of a challenge. Nonetheless, I managed to prepare our family favorite: chicken enchiladas, Mexican rice, and salad, accompanied by fresh salsa, homemade guacamole, and chips, and all tasted delicious. We welcomed three newly made friends from Australia, Glenn & Sonya who are here accepting delivery of an FP Astrea 42, and Tony on an FP Isla 40, and three from New Zealand, Ian, Wendy & their crew Craig, here accepting delivery of a FP Tanna 47. (Unfortunately, I missed taking a pic before eating when all the food was laid out nicely.) The evening was a huge success, with drinks flowing freely, lively tales of boating adventures, tips on avoiding orcas!!!, and catch-up stories from back home. The camaraderie and shared experiences made for an unforgettable night on the water.
